Testing Room Expectations

AP Exam testing rooms are secured, quiet environments designed for focus. Please adhere to the expectations of the College Board and the proctor in the room. Non-adherence will result in possible score cancellation. Those things are:

▪ Refusing to adhere to testing regulations.

▪ Disruptive behavior. 

▪ Disturbing other students.

▪ Giving or receiving assistance of any kind, including access to books, notes, or exam materials

during testing or breaks.

▪ Using aids, such as a calculator when it’s not permitted, or a dictionary.

▪ Being observed with prohibited electronic equipment.

▪ Attempting to navigate outside Bluebook or having applications running other than Bluebook or

approved assistive technology.

▪ Attempting to change, add, or utilize any options, settings, and/or programs on testing devices that

aren’t authorized as part of the exam.

▪ Attempting to take the exam for someone else or have someone test for them.

▪ Opening or looking through the exam booklet before the exam begins.

▪ Removal or attempted removal of exam materials or exam content by any means.

▪ Working on the wrong section of an exam.

▪ Working longer than the time permitted for an exam section.
